THE BASICS
Who we are.
Blend Interactive is a web strategy, design, and development agency based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Founded in 2005, we guide teams through complicated web and content problems, from content strategy and design to CMS implementation and ongoing support. We believe that the best work happens when the thinking comes first.
We work on long-lived, content-heavy sites for organizations with a lot of content, a lot of stakeholders, and real consequences when the site gets it wrong.
An independent web agency focused on strategy, design, and development.
2005.
Blend Interactive is led by Founder and CEO Karla Santi and Founder and CTO Joe Kepley. The company is privately held by its founders.
231 S. Phillips Ave, Suite 200, Sioux Falls, SD 57104. We work with clients across the North America, and have been featured speakers at conferences on five different continents.
Blend typically employs between 20 and 30 people.
OUR WORK
What we do.
We help organizations plan, build, and run their websites. In practice that spans content strategy and content modeling, information architecture, design and front-end development, accessibility, CMS selection and migration, and ongoing support and optimization. We tend to work on long-lived sites rather than one-off campaigns.
Our work concentrates in a few industries where websites carry heavy content and compliance demands:
A selection of organizations we have worked with, grouped by industry and drawn from our published case studies. This is not a complete list.
Healthcare and health systems: Brookings Health System, Delta Dental of South Dakota, Sanford Health, and Avera Health, plus a ton of ongoing work for children's hospital clients we can not name publicly.
Credit unions, banks, and financial services: United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU), SELCO Community Credit Union, Gate City Bank, Great Western Bank, Mechanics Bank, Western State Bank, Western Equipment Finance, and the accounting firm Cherry Bekaert.
Associations and membership organizations: American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU), Entrepreneurs' Organization, American Bonanza Society, and the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Higher education: Minnesota State University, Mankato; Minnesota State University Moorhead; University of Redlands; South Dakota School of Mines; University of Sioux Falls; Briar Cliff University; Southeast Technical Institute; and Minnesota West Community & Technical College.
Government and other sectors: South Dakota Unified Judicial System, South Dakota Department of Health, South Dakota Department of Revenue, and the Florida Department of Emergency Management, along with manufacturing and technology work for Raven Industries, Mercury Systems, Icertis, and Midcontinent Communications (Midco).
One of Blend’s core values is a dedication to advocacy and progress — to expand upon and give back to the community that fuels us.
