EmBe announces its 2020 Women’s Leadership Program participants including Blend project manager, Laura Brown.

  • Dec. 11 2019

Thirty women have been selected to participate in Embe’s 17-month Women’s Leadership Program — one of which is Blend’s own project manager, Laura Brown.

Starting in January, participants will grow their skills in becoming more impactful and effective leaders through informational sessions, exercises and assessments, a retreat, and a broad range of presenters and panels. The 2020 class will then implement skills built through the program in partnership with a selected mentor.

“The focus of the Women’s Leadership Program is to use the personal experiences and skills of area leaders to educate and inspire the participants. Participants will gain the opportunity to create important personal and professional relationships with other future leaders, mentors and facilitators for lifetime support,” said Erin Bosch, EmBe’s Executive Director of Women’s Programming. “This unique program equips the participants with the tools to become change agents and leaders of influence in their communities.”

Blend has been an active supporter of women’s leadership programming at EmBe over the last five years. Laura will join director of project management and 2019 program graduate Stephanie Krumvieda, along with Blend CEO and longtime program mentor Karla Santi, as participants.

“For women to be more empowered in their professional and personal development, it's important to have structured mentorships where we can learn from each other. Leaders succeed when they have the chance to connect with others and learn through programs such as this,” said Santi.
