Tiny MCE upgrade.

It’s true: Optimizely now supports TinyMCE 6.7. In addition to available premium plugin changes like improved accessibility checking and advanced template improvements, TinyMCE 6.7 also includes

  • Bug fixes to how tables are placed.
  • Added margin or menus to clearly separate from the frame edge.
  • Translation key improvements
  • Improvements to how TinyMCE is handled through screen readers.

(CMS-30169) — Product: Episerver CMS/TinyMCE v 4.6.0)

Additionally, the basic style dropdown plugin has been added to the default toolbar, as well as the “Insert Image” plugin.

(CMS-30554) — Product: Episerver CMS/TinyMCE v 4.6.0)

Finally, the Opti team has added support to disable TinyMCE pop-ups when pasting content via the “Paste-from-Word” command.

“Visitor Groups” are now “Audiences.”

Across the CMS, “visitor groups” have been renamed to “Audiences.” You’ll see this change in product documentation, as well as across the UI for anyone on the newest version of Optimizely. Other than the name change, there should be no noticeable changes to functionality.

(CMS-30425) — Product: Episerver CMS UI v 12.25.0)

Optimizely Forms updates.

Forms have been improved to end the calendar year.

Automated warnings when changing names.

Forms now include a warning function for form editors making changes to the name of a form component. The notification alerts editors that the placeholder also needs to be changed for the form component name change to be successful.

(AFORM-3612) — Product: Episerver Forms v 5.7.2)

Form focus options.

Additionally, Optimizely forms now include a setting that allows editors to place focus on the first step of the form itself upon load of the page.

(AFORM-3721) — Product: Episerver Forms v 5.7.2)
