Optimizely Release Notes — March-April 2024

CMS updates.

Three updates were made to the user interface within CMS itself over the past two months:

Utilize NormalizedUserName and others in ASP.Net Identity

According to the release notes, the product implementation of AspNet Identity now uses normalized usernames, which are indexed in the database. In conjunction with this, the performance of working with users in groups was significantly improved, which is reflected when working with approval definitions.

Improve restrictions

As a part of the previous update, restriction information has been simplified to occupy less space in the editors.

Update EPiServer.ImageLibrary.ImageSharp dependency

And, finally, according to release notes, the team updated the EPiServer.ImageLibrary.ImageSharp dependency to 1.0.1 which includes a vulnerability fix.

Language Manager updates.

Optimizely pushed two feature updates relating to the Language Manager.

  • Added the option to publish descendant (children) content. (LM-519 — Product: Episerver Language Manager 5.3.0)
  • Revamped the translation/duplicate configuration process UI so that options display in a window. (LM-530 — Product: Episerver Language Manager 5.3.0)

Commerce relations.

Finally, an update to Commerce now allows relations between classes and contacts or organizations. According to the release notes, this includes:

  • Added relation 1N, NN from organization or contacts to other classes.
  • Added relation N1, NN from other classes to organization or contacts.
