ai12z — AI search and on-site assistants designed to help real people find real content.

Answers to user questions, based on your actual site content.

The situation.

Search has changed. We expect answers, not a list of links, and that doesn’t just mean on the internet as a whole — your own site’s search needs to respond to how your users are growing and learning.

For a patient checking insurance coverage, a member trying to renew, or a future customer comparing rates, the gap between "I have a question" and "I found the answer" is getting tighter and tighter.

ai12z closes that gap. It's an experience platform that adds a conversational AI-powered search bar or assistant to your site. Using the content you already have, ai12z provides responses based on its understanding of your site, helping point them in the right direction and limit dead ends and failed tasks. What’s more, the experience adapts in real time to what each person is asking, so two different visitors starting from the same page can be guided to two different places.

Why ai12z.

You already have a body of content. Wouldn’t it be nice to simply use all of that? ai12z can generate a working assistant from your existing pages, allowing your marketing team to shape and refine the output. Ai12z responds to plain instructions (rather than a development queue) meaning it can be easily managed by your editorial team. For teams that also care about showing up in AI-generated answers elsewhere, ai12z includes tools to measure and improve how your brand appears related to GEO.

We’ll be frank about this kind of tool: ai12z is a strong fit when you have a body of content that’s maintained and kept accurate. It’s unfortunately the wrong first move if your content is a mess. In that case, the content work will need to come first.

What Blend brings to ai12z projects.

An AI search project relies on structure and experience, two things that differentiate Blend. Before we stand up an ai12z assistant, we look at whether your content is structured well enough to answer questions accurately — how it's modeled, how it's maintained, and the editorial process that creates it.

Then we integrate ai12z into your site. As an ai12z partner, we specialize in implementing AI search and assistants on the CMS platforms we know deeply — Optimizely, Umbraco, and Contentstack — but can work with any CMS we’re given. This means connecting the assistant to the content already present on your site, configuring the tool’s output, and preparing your team for management after launch. That makes us more of a partner, rather than a vendor who hands off the tool and leaves.

Frequently asked questions.

Do I need to fix my content before adding an AI assistant to my site?

Usually — an AI-powered assistant offers answers based on your existing content, so if pages are thin, duplicated, or poorly organized, the assistant will reflect that back to visitors. Blend can begin an engagement with an editorial assessment to determine if content can answer real questions accurately, and then handle any structural work before the ai12z implementation, helping make the assistant ready on day one.

Can ai12z work with the CMS I already have?

It’s likely — ai12z sits on top of your existing site rather than replacing it, which means it can work on most systems. While we have specialized experience with implementations on our partner platforms — Optimizely, Umbraco, and Contentstack — we can integrate ai12z to any existing site. In other words, most likely you don't need a new platform to add AI search.

When should I choose an AI assistant over improving our regular site search?

Choose an assistant when people are asking full questions and expect a direct answer and a next step, rather than a list of links to sort through. Situations where this is common include: financial services guidance, patient services, and membership information. If your visitors typically know exactly where to go and just need to get there faster, traditional search and navigation may solve the problem at lower cost. We'll tell you which situation you're in before you spend on either.
